I just changed the rear dampers on my Fiesta. When bolting on the rubber bumper inside the boot to the top of the strut it all fitted fine and attached to the body of the car. But now there seems to be a gap of 3 or 4 mm between the rubber and the body of the car, you can see it clearly from inside the boot. As such there is a thudding occasionally when going over bumps (where the road drops).
What has caused this?!! I've contacted Partco to see if they gave me the right shocks cos swapping them over was supposed to be easy...........
