Have a Fortic F10 tank heated with a Charnwood Solid fuel Stove.
There are times when my fire heats up too much and the water overheats.
The system is supposed to pump overheated water to outside overflow but there has been times when it spills over the tank and down thru ceilling! It also is hot enough to melt the tank insultation and distort the plastic lid.
Problem compounded as it is local authority housing, with one firm servicing the fire and council plumbers servicing the tank. Each blame the other, or me. I usually can turn down fire it gets too hot but can't guarantee I will be there all the time. Surely, the system must have fail safe to prevent hot water over spilling?
This has been going on for 2yrs now and have had many call outs from council plumbers but never is fixed. Anyone any ideas?
