I remember reading a case some time ago about a (fairly new IIRC) car that was written off by a rodent getting in behind the dash and chewing everything in sight.

I go about once a year to heating boilers with chewed insides.

But I have never heard of that problem on cars before.

Even better they actually changed the filter. But then the owner is some kind of friend of the daughter here.

Only slight annoyance is they could not find rear wheel bearings in town and may be brought in by the owner tomorrow.
