Hi,

We have a concrete pre-fab garage with a aluminium roof. It gets very hot in there during the summer. We've bought an upright freezer to live out there but I'm concerned we will be asking too mush of the freezer when it's like 40 degrees in there during the summer months.

I was thinking of maybe building a Kingspan "coat" for it. Will this work or any other ideas??

The instructions for your freezer should tell you the envoironmental requirements( hi/lo temp of siting) etc. Personally I am not a fan of siting domestic appliances in this sort of place, but that does not mean it will not work perfectly well. I would guess in summer the compressor will be running continuously & could lead to premature failure, but in all honesty never seen one in that situation so can't say for definite.
