Freezing cold!! Please help me!

I hope someone can help me please!!!

I have a semia condens f30e combi boiler and from what i can tell I have 2 problems, I don't know whether they are related or not?

Ok story starts off with my heating not coming on. So I climb up in the loft and the boiler has a flashing red light and error code 01. Which according to help line is to do with the pressure. Thing is the pressure dial was already at the top of the green so I didn't want to add anymore in. Instead I went round and bled every rad to make get rid of any air and bring the gage down.

I've tried resetting it and I can see that the flame takes so I know it isn't to do with the gas. The temp display starts rolling up and gets about 8 degrees higher from where it was and then stops and displays the same error again.

I had a look n feel underneath and at the back lefthand corner there is a plastic ridged pipe and a plastic cylinder type thing and it looks to be dripping.

Does this ring any bells with anyone? Any guesses on what it will cost and if anyone out there is available I would be interested in hearing from you??

is it a white rigid pipe? and where does it go?

condensate pipe froze,thats the wast pipe that takes the condensate water to the drain

Sounds like your condense pipe is frozen, it's happened to a vast amount of people in the last couple of weeks

hmmm ok will put my duffle coat back on and go back up there with my torch.

how do i find the blockage if i cant see through the pipe?

I had the same problem this morning (different boiler make,but still a condensing combi) Thanks from help from people on here its now all OK.

I wouldnt advise climbing on the roof.... If its possible, you can disconnect (or cut through) the pipe under the boiler before it goes through the wall, and let it run into a bucket. This may get you going for now but is only a temporary fix. The bucket may fill quite quickly if the boiler is running, make sure it doesnt overflow! You will still need to get a permanent solution sorted out.

The "permanent" solution in these cases is usually to reconnect the pipe after the cold weather!
