Fridge Delivery Guy Scratched My Parquet flooring!

Delivery driver delivered fridge and proceeded to drag it across the hallway with fridge’s plug underneath the appliance gouging a ‘Harry Potter’ style mark in the floor.

They won’t stump up repair costs as we signed an agreement that states in the small print that we are responsible for any damage inside the property as the drivers are only officially allowed to drop at the front door.

Had a quote of £800!!! But that was do re-do the whole hallway. If I have to I will go down that route with my house insurance but was just wondering if there’s away it can be repaired with a sander and some sealant (polyurethane?)

So….I decided, before any of you replied to sand it down as I had an afternoon to burn as I’m stuck indoors with storm Eunice blowing away outside. I think it’s come out ok!

What do I now seal it with?

impossible to say. I’d probably try a test patch with liberon hard wax oil. satin
