fridge freezer to cold

The control on my fridge freezer doesn't seem to be working the fridge is to cold and the freezer seems a lot colder e.g. ice cream very hard. I have been told it may be the thermostat not working is this something that I could replace myself?

dead easy to do, but then I am a fridge engineer.....

If it's not a frost free fridge you will see the stat sensor clamped to the evaporator plate, this is connected to the stat body and this is what needs replacing.
