Hi,
I was recently given an under counter fridge to keep my home brew in. Result.
Left it for a week, then plugged it in. Pretty much instantly there was a buzzing noise followed by smoke. Unplugged fridge, pulled it out, hole in the relay.
Ordered a new one, fitted it, sat with it for 15mins and it was ok, phew.
Went into another room, 10mins later power tripped and strong smell of burming. Unplugged, swore quite a bit, reset power.
The back of the fridge was mega hot, couldnt get near it, compressor was hottest.
So, is it scrap? Can i check anything on it? Move it right out from under the bench and try it again? Its an under counter fridge so i would assume it should be able to cope being under a counter with limited air / space around it?
