fuel pump problem

hi, my 94 mk5 escort petrol injection engine, pump will not prime on turning on ignition
i first tried new relay -no good/ changed the fusebox for same model number, even changed all relays, - no good/
had new petrol pump fitted ,-no good/
all cables into fusebox are slotted in nice and tight
i can get car going by taking a jump wire from live on ignition switch [ when key turned ] to fuel pump np problems, not satisfactory though.
any helpfull sugestions as to where to check next ?cheers. r.r.

immobiliser could be playing up, what does the led do next to the clock when the ignition is switched on?

hi, the led is as normal ,ie 3 seconds constant, then off.
this problem started begining of the year i didnt know it was pump not priming at first,
the car had a mind of its own as to when it would prime pump
stop start car all day no bother ,then go back to it and no go. pump not priming.it could be half hr or 3 hrs or more before it decided to kick in
it just got worse.
hence changing the relay, then the fusebox plus all relays.
had a new pump fitted 3 weeks ago and no trouble untill last monday
when it just refused to start [ no pump again ]
at the mo ive put a strap from ignition to pump to supply the juice. no more problems since .
but would rather sort the problem out.
just one more thing i did see the led flashing at one point in the week ,but never took anymore notice. regards.r.r.

hi, today i had chance to check in more datail, relay switches on ok, which i knew anyway
other slots on outward side has 12v coming in ok/ but other side is also live with 12v ? does anyone know where wire goes next as it disapears into a harness and then picking 12v from somethink faulty i guess. regards. r.r.

problem now sorted it was a faulty fuel cut out switch ,also the ignition module was faulty it was sending 12v to the cut out switch as well somehow
what went wrong first i do not know.
hope this is of help to anyone else with pump problem
