Please help!

I had a Galaxy 2 installed in 2007. Everything has been perfect until about 3 months ago a BAT Mis code kept coming up.

The keypad recently has just had ****** going across it intermittently.

I looked on the web and it said either a battery or fuse problem which I have both replaced.

The problem has got worse with the keypad not working and the outside alarm goes off every 6-12 hours which I cannot turn off!! I have taken the fuse out of the spur and removed a point off the battery to kill the alarm.

The guy who installed it has gone to Australia. Any suggestions of how to fix this? Also none of the engineers codes seem to work.

Thanks for you help

A line of *********s on the RKP = No Communication on A B Line, possibly faulty PCB or lack of resistor.

Or a bad joint to the AB line in the RKP or Panel

I'm sure this is in the book, you do have the book, don't you?

Batts. replace every 5yrs maximum, good or bad, but you can't test for that so replace every 4yrs.

Thanks for your response.

I do have the manual and have gone through it, will re check incase I have missed it.

Do you know any alarm specialists in the Watford/Herts area who specialise in Galaxy systems?

Installation manual/s NOT a User Manual, and no, I'm sorry, not from that area.
