Hi all
Looking for some advice please.
I have a block and beam garage floor currently , no screed or anything on top.
I am wanting to put interlocking floor tiles down which I have purchased however my question is, would you lay these directly on the block and beam - or would you install a structural ply board on the block and beam and then put the interlocking mats on that?
Appreciate people’s thoughts!

I would go with a ply deck under the tiles as they will help with the longevity of the tiles and give some small measure of insulation / draughtproofing too if you seal the perimeter.

I'm kinda surprised your B/B floor is adequate without a screed, whenever I've seen a garage floor done with B/B it's always had a screed.

Don’t ask, me too. It’s complicated and frustrating hence settling for interlocking tiles. I just want to ensure the sub base is right before laying them!
