Does anyone know if I can build a timber frame garage ( studwork, boarded and then pine cladding,) at the side of my house without needing planning permission?I have heard that, as it is made of timber, it is not classed as a permanent fixture - i.e it can be portable - and therefore is deemed to be a temporary structure. If anyone has got any info relating to my query I would be most grateful.I may want to build a breeze block wall around the perimeter at a later date to make it permanent but right now I need a very fast construction.Thank you in advance.

I already have but they will only entertain a full drawn up set of plans which if they knock it back I then have to pay for more plans to be drawn up and submit them.I am just wondering if it is necessary, in general, to need their permission for a wooden structure?
