Hello all,

Ive been loitering on this site for well over a year now, picking up some valuable tips and great advice in that time. I thought I would share the works I have done to our garden over the last year. This included 3 main stages. Here are some before pics.

Stage 1. Rip everything out. install new fencing and sort drainage out by house. Dig shed base and get that concreted. Install a 3 tier patio/path, water and electric to the top of the garden for shed.

Stage 2. Install a sleeper step, rotivate, level and turf lawn.

Stage 3. Build shed, remove tree from next door to allow my garden to get some light

Next stage is to do something with the 12 foot infront of the shed which is now my log chopping/crap storing area. Probably going to stick a deck in there or have a raised bed/gardening area.

Do a raised bed mate, grow spuds and onions. Pumpkins are low maintenance too as are perennials like CHives or Oregano. Garlic is incredible when grown at home.

Thanks for the comments. I think I might do a combination of the two. A couple of raised beds each side by the lawn area with a deck around the rest of the space. We have an old belfast sink I grow a few herbs in so will plonk that somewhere as well.

Also going to cut a couple of flower beds in the lawn area, but the lady of the house can sort that out.
