I have recently had meters fitted at my property for gas & electric. When my electricity supply goes off my boiler takes days to come back to life? It's like there is some sort of safety cut off, but it takes days to reset itself. In the meantime I have no hot water or heating which is a complete pain in the $#%*

Has anyone experienced this before or does it sound like a fault with the boiler? If it is a safety cut out, is there anyway of manually resetting?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as I stink and would like a bath today lol

You need to make a note of what is on the display at the point when it is powered but not working.

Also, post this in the plumbing forum.

The display is blank, like its not even got power? I had an electrician mate check the power supply to the unit. He tested from the socket/wall switch and the supply is present all the way though to the circuit board. From experience it usually come back to life on its own within 24 to 48 hours which is a real nuisance.

Tina100 I have the same boiler. Mine was turned off at the mains and now it won't power up (there is nothing displayed on the screen where the pressure would be displayed). Did yours just come back on again, has it happened before? Thanks

Did you read the instructions on page 7?

Have you checked the fuse in the supply feed to the boiler?

If all OK, I suggest you repost your query in the Plumbing forum as this would not appear to be an electrical problem!
