my son has a glowworm 30ci combi..when he turns on the hot tap he gets cold water (plenty of pressure ) but no hot water....when the hot tap is on the flow pipe on the heating gets hot..he has had the electrics checked and they are ok ..could it be the 3 way valve head or cartridge ?

sounds very much like the divertor valve could be faulty/stuck
it was both these things ,plumber showed them to me ,many thanks
