Please help. I have a Betacom 30 c boiler and the heating works great but the hot water goes hot then cold then hot then cold and so on. Help I need a bath,we are all starting to smell!

Does sound very much like a restricted plate heat exchanger.Can be cleaned with chemicals but easier to fit a new on,and is diyable.
Is it easy to do? and how do i do it? Many thanks also!
If you have the inst/service manual all the info is there.It's fiddly but can be done with relative ease.The procedure is far to long to type out.Make sure the system is depressurised and cold supply off.Isolate and protect electrics from water damage.If you don't have instrutions they can be downloaded from Gloworm website.

Good point lawrance.OP After removing plate exch you may find that the primary side is blocked with system debris and if so a bit of cleaning and a system filter could be fitted to the ch return near to the boiler.If not sure how to do this a good heating engineer should be able to advise.
No you don't.The PE can be removed through a gap on the LHS without having to disturb any gas parts.This is not a diy job as you need to remove the gas valve to change the Plate heat exchanger
