Glow Worm boiler ultracom - No hot water

Hi,

I've got a problem with our Glow Worm boiler ultracom 24cxi. It lost all pressure and it was reading 0.0 but I managed to top up the pressure to around 1.5. However, I'm getting central heating but there isn't any hot water. What do you think the problem is?

Does the boiler fire up when you turn a hot tap on?

Please excuse the ignorant question. How do you know when the boiler fires up? The central heating works.

With the heating off, if you turn a hot tap on does the boiler make a noise?
