Hi all :).
Over the past 3 weeks or so I have had a bit of and issue getting my hot tap water 'hot'. During this time I have tried turning the tempreture stat on the boiler higher and higher but to no avail.

The water I am getting at the moment just about lets you have a bath but the quantity is not huge and its not as hot as I would like it, its only really past 'warm'.

I have to date been using the boiler in 'heat water only' mode, in 'central heating and water' mode it seems to be fine...

Anyway, today I took the cover off the boilder and gave it a good clean with a dry paint brush (after turning the electricity off), I also checked all the cables were tight and making good connections.

When I turn the boiler on, in 'water only' mode, thermostat set to max, it kicks in, starts to heat the water then 1 minute later 'clicks' and goes to the pilot light only.

I can only assume that it does this on and off as the water is being heated, just not very much.

Any idea boiler gods ? :)

Many thanks,

Jon

We need to know more about your system. Motorised valves?
Cylinder thermostat?

Check small header tank in loft has enough water in it and the ball valve is free
