Glow worm Ultracom 30sxi.......no heat to radiators!!!

yes, the boiler temp is still going up to 75 and then drops right back down.....over and over again.

we have trv's on 8 of the 9 rads, the only 1 that does not have a trv fitted is the rad in the hallway, which probably gets the hottest out of all the rads.

Remove all TRV heads and check that the pin sticking out of the body can be pressed down and springs up when released. If the pin won't go down, or is sluggish, apply some silicon lubricant. If the pin is obviously down already (pin only sticks out a little), tap the side of the valve with a hammer to see if it will release.

When pins are free, leave the TRV heads off and check how hot the rads get and also the flow temperature cycling.

I've taken all trv heads off, sprayed sum wd40 on the pins but again this does not seemed to have made any difference to the heat of the rads.

The cycle has also remained the same.

The latest plumber seemed to think a new valve (don't know which) would solve the problem.......does this sound like a possibility?[/list]
