Hi, I have some quarry tiles which are very firmly cement bonded, good condition and dont seem damp. I want to law some glue down solid oak Parquet over them. My plan is to level the floor using Sika self levelling compound (floor is level but to give me as perfect a surface as possible) and then glue down the parquet using Sika Bond AT80 adhesive.

My question is, do I need a liquid DPM? And if so, do I apply it over the quarry tiles before the self levelling or do I apply it over the self levelling? Or both? I have a tub of Sika Rapid DPM - just not sure when to use it.

Cheers

Glyn

Yes go with a dpm.
De grease the tiles then fill any grout lines with a exterior rapid repair mortar
Then 2 coat dpm
