glue removal from stainless steel surface

Hi the glue experts of the world
a brainless lunatic managed to glue a sticker with some useless info to my stainless steel fridge;the papar part of it came off easily but a gummy residue seems unwashable;please help

Evo-stick remover or methylate spirit, not sure what you have in your country

acetone is the best sticker remover I know,I use it all the time,It will even lift contact cement.
