Hi Peeps

I have a small family of three who needs to get their clothes washed on a weekly basis, so this makes the washing chore a once in a week experience. I had been using a Hot Point Washing machine for quite some time(Since my Bachelor Days i Guess  )which has made it absolutely suitable for getting retired from the duties. For a Couple of days i had been looking out for the best one to buy, as a result of which i have landed on a small list of hand picked machines from the various online retailers. I need the help from my forum friends to give me a review of the listed machines, if you have used it any one of them in real. So here Goes the List :

Hotpoint WML 540P

This Site had some really good Pros and Cons Section, but still real experience has no match.

LG F1247TD

Samsung WF8702RSW
http://www.electricshop.com/invt/wf...ce=shopping&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=WF8702RSW[/url]

I couldn't get some good review site for the last two machines so i would appreciate anyone who can give me real reviews for these two specifically.

Looking Forward to get a Quick reply Fellas..

Stellios

Unfortunately you only get what you pay for. Buy cheap...buy twice.
I would steer well clear of Hotpoint! The LG link was dead. Samsung are in general middle of the tree machines but in this case probably the better of the 3.

Very true. I had a Hotpoint that lasted 2 years before bearings started whining. Replaced it with a Bosch - 6 years no trouble.

Miele is certainly the rolls royce of domestic appliances but perhaps a little too pricey for the average household. Shame they don't sell ASKO washers in the UK, they are great machines & not that far below Miele when it comes to quality.
A good alternative might be Bosch or Siemens (make sure you buy a German made one) or Zanussi perhaps? Anything but a Hotpoint :(

I picked up an LG 8kg a few weeks ago for an absolute song (through trade links) it is unbelievably quiet (due to the direct drive motor) and washes very well, if noise is an issue then you wont get better.

John Lewis JLWM1200 Washing Machine delivered to your floor , £299 includes 3 yr guarantee ... JL are good at honouring their guarantees.

So less than £100 per annum - discard after 3 yrs buy another ! Probably cost around a 'ton' per annum for some sort of repair insurance on most machines after one year.
