Part of my back garden is on a lower level and is triangular shaped, and I have been looking at removing the grass/lawn and putting in a compact gravel path or similar?.
As it will be very little used with just light foot traffic, does the said path need 75mm of sub base and 50mm of gravel.
Could I use type 3 sub base instead of type 1

Thanks

One other question: is there any other type of gravel which, although not self binding, is compactable.
Is 10 mm gravel suitable for a garden path if it were compacted.

Thanks

Not really suitable for compaction IMO
