green (algae?) on gates, posts and decking

Hi everyone

Does anyone know the easiest way to get rid of the green staining - possibly algae (I can't think it's moss) that has begun to spoil gates and posts?

We also have a deck, which - although doesn't look green, it has become very slippery and I think this might be algae too.

I would be grateful for any suggestions on removal of both problems.

I had this - used a pressure washer to clean it off and some vinegar to kill the bacteria - Worked a treat - now all i need is to do is paint it...
