Hi there I was wondering whether you could helpo...i checked the pressure of my combi boiler today and it was above 3...i was told to make sure it is between 1 and 2...how can i reduce the pressure...I hope you can help as i have no clue about boilers! thanks!
look for a drain valve on your central heating system.
Failing that use the bleed screws on your rads, although this may take a while.
How quickly did the pressure rise?
Well couple of days back it was below 1 so i turned the white knob at the bottom to get it between 1 and 2 and it was fine for a few days. But this afternoon after switching on the heaters, it went past three by quite a lot (that was in about 3 hours)...so i turned the heaters off, and after checking again after 3 hours with heaters off, its still above two.
Thanks for the arvice, yes it could have possibly been elft open slightly, i tightened it earlier so that it wasnt possible to tighten anymroe, but it had moved a bit so yes that is a possibility. How would i reduce the pressure though, how can i drain it down? what do you mean by desc?
