Hello, I have bled an upstairs radiator and immediately afterwards the pressure gauge on the boiler was showing as zero. There is no heat or HW and the green burner light isn't lit. I've tried to reset but that didn't work.

I have read a previous post that mentions a key but I can't find where that what would be. I do remember when the boiler was installed that the engineer told me to use a screwdriver to undo a screw on one of the pipes if the pressure dropped. There are 2 pipes and I don't know which one to turn.

The engineer isn't available until Monday - a bit like the rest of the country. It's freezing and I need to wash my hair!

Thanks in anticipation.

Can you see a silver coloured pipe connected to the pipes on the right.

If you have the integral filling kit the key should be clipped in the plastic cover under the boiler.

PS, It aint freezing in Manni. Iam just outside of it, out Bury way.

Hello

thanks for your prompt reply!

I've found a white key type thing that has 'remove key after filling' printed on it. Is this the key?

Thanks

Thats the key :D

Now insert it into the hole, bottom of boiler to the right. ther is a white square tap next to the hole.
Push the key all the way in and the turn to lock in position. Now open the inlet (white square tap) and introduce water slowly until pressure guage shows between 1 and 1.5 bar.
Close the tap fully and remove the key. A little water will come out, not alot.
Now try hot water demand and heating.

Hello

You're right it's not freezing but when you're used to warm it feels like it is!

I can't find a hole or a tap - there are 2 vertical pipes below on the right hand side. They have a silver bendy pipe joining them together.

Thanks

Ok you have a filling loop.

Open the tap on the big pipe to the right, now open the tap on the thinner pipe to the left.
fill untill 1/1.5 bar and close both.

You may need a screw driver for the valves, you may also only need to open one side.

DO THIS SLOWLY as over filling will create further work
