Hi
Im block paving around and upto a new extension which has yet to be completed and signed off
the ground heights are high to the damp coarse about 75mm down
would it be acceptable to to finish my block paving level at this height but where it butts up to the new extension drop an acco drain in all around the perimiter so in effect the bottom of the channel would be 150mm minimum down from dpc
And is it ok to send the water from the down pipe into this to channel it into the nearest drain rather than dropping in a gulley and underground pipe as all it would be carrying is rain water.

the hight of the paving is fine. in fact it's really good.

However you are probably going to have to fit a 150mm wide pipe under it.
I don't think building control will allow long channels these days.

it depends on the length of the channel.

You would have to ask building control about that.
