grouting a patio

just laid a granite paving patio appox 50 sq mts,,, its now ready to fill the joints,,, looked at a wicks wash in groute,,, or not sure should i take the sand and cement route ,,,, the granite pavers are silver gray 600x600 approx 25mm thick,,,5mm joints any advice which way to go i have also seen JOINT sand which is then sealed as this got any pros or cons

5mm is too narrow for normal sand and cement pointing. You will need to use a slurry product of some sort. The choices are 1 part polymeric like marshalls weatherpoint 365 or easyjoint.

then 2 part epoxy resins like rompox d1 or nexxus or gtfk which are miles better but more expensive.

Or you can use a flowable cement grout like flowpoint, which needs more bravery and clean up is much harder but may be cheaper.
