I have a fairly new pump that has started to whine. It does this about 30 mins after the heating is switched on.

If I just turn the hot water on it is fine but once the heating has been on for 30 mins the whining starts....when the boiler ignites to heat the water in the central heating the whining stops. Once the water is being pumped around the system again the whining starts

Any ideas please ?

Sounds like a possible lack of water, do you have a sealed system with next to no pressure?
