My house has a single-storey extension with a roof around 12m2 in area discharging into some guttering with a downpipe that stops above a concrete path on the back of the house. The water backs up against the house wall and there are indications of damp along this wall. Looking at the guttering, it was clearly done this way for ease as there is nowhere really that the guttering could be discharged to. I'm aware the best option would be a new outside gully either running into the drains or into a soakaway, however neither is feasible for me at the moment.
I've noticed Wickes sell a minifit guttering which is 75mm wide and can be fed into a 50mm downpipe. I was thinking it would be possible to replace the guttering with this, and extend it round the corner of the extension and round the side of the house to the soil pipe, and then take the 50mm downpipe into a boss connector on the soil pipe.
I'm aware this is far from ideal but is there anything prohibiting this as a solution?
