My friends daughter got black hair dye on the carpet in their kitchen, and she waited overnight to tell anyone. Is there any way to remove it or should we dab it with some bleach to white and dye the carpet back to its original color? :?:

Personally I wouldn't go so far as to bleach the carpet! If this was hair colour (the stuff that lasts for about six weeks) then I would have thought that washing it with ordinary soap powder/liquid should bring some of it out. It all depends on the colour of the carpet and the colour of the dye.

I've seen it washed out over time when spilt on clothes/towels etc but it generally leaves a faint stain.

I suppose you could try asking a local hairdresser to see if they know, after all they use this stuff everyday and must get it everywhere!

Let us know if you find a remedy!
