Hair in Drain

Hi All, is there any solution on the market that will dissolve hair in the upvc shower drain,without harming the pipework...Thanks in advance..

i dont know of any, can you not take out the inside of the waste and clean it ?

might be worth swapping the waste to an easy clean if possible.

would help maintenance for the future

how do you know it is just hair that is causing the problem?

its almost impossible to get to the waste as the shower unit is on a plynth on the ground floor and the plynth is tiled...

Plumb center do it PE 4 That does the trick .

A tube of Veet would probably work too.

Mr Muscle Sink and plug hole unblocker never fails. Can't remember the exact name but it's along those lines.

Are you sure you dont have a proper shower trap these are designed to come apart for cleaning leaving everything that creates the seal in place.
Couple of bottles of strong bleach left overnight or mr muscle should do the tick

Thanks for the advice guys...I`ll try removing the centre threaded ring that holds the trap in place and see if i can get some more access that way...
