Hair or despair?

Hey all,

Renovating a circa late 30s semi and trying to retain as much original lime plaster as poss due to breathability against solid masonary walls etc. Came across some fibres in the plaster work near the door, nowhere else. I'm hoping its just cattle/horse/goat hair to reinforce the plaster around the door but cant be certain. I have a usb microscope so took some images. Any thoughts?

Have you compared them to images of asbestos fibres?

asbestos wasn't particularly common in residential houses.
