Halstead Best 40

Hi, My lad has a halstead best 40 boiler which has failed to ignite, we had it serviced & it worked fine, then a week later, it failed again. it clicks as though trying to ignite, but theres no spark. before we get a fitter in can anyone advise me of the possible fault.

The problem is not something you can fix you will need a gas installer around to check, but you need to see if the fan runs simple test is a demand and the noise of a fan.

The sounds you are reporting could be the boiler trying to ignite if the fan is running (check if the gas is on not knocked off by accident at the meter).

if that is OK then you probably have a fault that a installer needs to fix such as the ignition or gas valve, or the pcb relays burned out.

But don't worry it will be a simple fix that he may need to get a part for.
