I've searched and read loads of posts about Halstead boilers, banging pipes etc, but can't find an answer to my current problem. Sorry if I've missed something.
I have a Halstead boiler, few years old, Finest Platinum. In the flat I've had regular problems with water hammer in various places, but these have been fairly simple to fix.
Now I have vibrations in some pipework which has to be CH pipes. I have bled the radiators (no air came out, just water). I have turned off the heating and the boiler (living in a flat means we're annoying neighbours) but it still continues banging. Last night I even turned off all the water and emptied the taps as I was desperate for sleep! Leaving it all day seemed to quieten it down a bit but the other half turned on the heating when he got home and now it's banging again.
I have a plumber coming on Friday but would love some sleep before then. Any suggestions of ways of getting air out of pipes for this boiler? I'll go and have a look for some extra bleed points now.
Thanks loads in advance!
