Hansgrohe Axor Shower Valve Problem

My shower has a Hansgrohe Axor temperature control valve that started having a problem. It is a single handle control that turns on the shower and controls the water temperature. It has been installed for about 10 years with no problems.

The problem is that the shower water pressure has slowed to a drip. House pressure is fine. Strange thing is that when I adjust it to a certain temp (a few degrees warmer than cold) the pressure increases to something you can use to shower with... still not full pressure.

I'm guessing something got lodged inside the device.

Anybody know a trick for dealing with this?

It may need a overhaul. Possible has filter inside inlet connectors. Check service valves is open fully.

It may need a new temperature valve.

Also this is a UK forum :)
