Hi,
Am putting new radiators and valves on in the lounge. We have a sealed Ideal combi system. I can see the drain valve on the bottom of the boiler but don't know how to release it? Do I need to remove the front of the boiler? Also, will there be any probs putting thermostatic valves on (we live in a flat and only have 5 radiators?). Want to drain the system to cut and shorten the pipes.

Thanks,
Mike.

that probably isnt the drain it will be the blow off valve and shouldnt be used for draining.you should drain from a radiator the drain should be on the pipework below the radiator usually under the floor

Do not put a TrV on the rad nearest the thermostat. You should always have one rad without if there is not an automatic bypass fitted. :D

Make sure you drain properly too.
