Hello,

I want to run a HDMI cable from one room to another under the flooring, we are having new LVT flooring soon and I was thinking of channeling out a groove big enough for a HDMI and network cable, the length I need to go is about 5ft, it’s a concrete floor, house is 1995. Is this a good idea?

Won’t be easy work smashing that out, can’t you go via the walls? Use flexi conduit then you can thread replacements through in future

Remove skirting board and drill through to the other room?
Sort cable (in flexitrunking) and refit skirting slightly offset from the wall with a batten.
Maybe Velcro the skirting back on or use some other removable fixings.

Hi, both rooms aren’t adjacent to each other the kitchen is in between, the kitchen is the room I need to go through.

Ditch the HDMI, and just run a load of Cat6 cable, and use baluns to run HDMI over it.

HDMI doesn't work reliably over 10m, but can work 50m with baluns
