Hi, we are having new luxury vinyl flooring fitted next week and all out old flooring is up, we have a concrete floor and I want to take the opportunity to run a HDMI cable between 2 rooms, is it advisable to chisel a channel or not? It wouldn’t have to be deep and hoping it would be filled in by the levelling compound the flooring guys use. What would be the best way to do the work by hand without much dust please.

Might be better to run a couple of cat 5/6 cables instead you can easily convert these to HDMI with adaptors and future proof if you want to use for something else.

A bit of conduit would be best.

To address your actual question: what tools do you have? SDS drill? Angle grinder?
