Hi
We are equipping our cabin for holiday rental. We are in Cornwall (UK) but still need something to take the chill out of the air. Before the refit the cabin had a wood-burner. For many reasons we don't want to expose our punters to the risks of a wood burner. Mains electric heating is not an option as the demand would out strip the available supply!!
The cabin is approx 4m x 6m, with a lounge kitchenette area and a bedroom. Water heating is done with a Rinnua propane water heater - this is fine.
Now the question: has anyone used a diesel heater (like the heaters used in camper vans) for heating a cabin. What are the pros and cons? The idea would be to have a system that heats glyco and plumb in 2 or 3 mini-rads in the cabin.
Are these things, safe, smelly, noisy, efficient etc?
Is there any legislation I need to be aware of?
Thanks
Peter
