hi everyone.
my friend has a problem with his central heating.
the heating had been working ok (i believe) but since he has started using it recently the distribution to the radiators is varied. upstairs 2 rads red hot and 1 fairly hot downstairs 1 luke warm and other 2 cold.
as had plumber out to look at it!!!
he has changed all old leaking valves and replaced with new thermostatic valves and says that the system is partially blocked due to corrosion over years constantly topping up boiler due to leaking valves some thing to do with oxygenated water??. is this correct????
the plumber tried to balance the radiators but all that he seemed to get was heat moving from 1 radiator to another never all hot together. he thinks that this could also have something to do with the pump?
how much should it cost to replace 5 sets of valves??
how much should it cost to do a flush? does it need 1?
how much should it cost to renew pump? does it need 1?
any help would be much appreciated
thanx
