I am currently building a timber garden room, approximately 30 square metres total floor area, that will be partitioned into a large games room and a smaller office area and storage room. I’m trying to make sure that the entire building is well insulated (100mm insulation in the floor, warm roof with 100mm insulation, 70-80mm insulation in walls, all windows and doors double glazed). However, I’m going to require some sort of electrical heaters in the games room and office. Does anyone have any recommendations for cost-effective/economical electric heaters that would work well in this kind of space? I have been looking at air to air heat pumps that also double up as cooling/air conditioning units (e.g. electriQ sell these in various sizes). Does anyone have any experience with these kind of systems? Is there anything better I should be looking at?
Any advice much appreciated! Thanks!
