Dear All
I have just fitted a Honeywell CM707 Programmable Thermostat and from reading the Honeywell literature and various website forums wondered, if it was Safe or worth adjusting the boiler cycle rate down to 3 cycles per hour to help reduce the amount of times the boiler fire once at the set point temp.
My boiler is a Potterton Netaheat Profile 60E Gas Boiler
Thanks you

It is safe.

The default setting is 6 cycles per hour, will give you bit more accurate room temperature control over 3 cycles per hour, I don't see any point on reducing your boiler over all run time.

In addition to possibly reducing my cm707 setting down to 3 cycles per hour (once I find out if back end rot is serious) should I increase the min boiler on time to say 3mins to help reduce the sensitivity of the on/off switching of the stat.
Sorry to be thick.
