Hi All,

Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction with this boiler problem..... i have searched all over and read a few topics on here but cant seem to find an answer.
I see a lot of people have mixed reviews about these boilers but it seemed to be a good boiler to me until recently.

so the central heating works fine and water pressure holds spot on.
The temperature on the boiler will build up from 30 to 40 then to 50 and maybe 60. once i turn the hot water tap on, it turns all lights off straight away. the hot water will be too hot to touch for a few seconds and then go no hotter than luke warm . the flame will still be going so that's not cutting out.

Parts changed so far are:

Flow Sensor
Divertor Valve Repair Kit & Actuator
Thermister Sensor

I assume some of the other parts that can be changed are the heat ex-changer which when touched gets hot as it should so i dont think its full of sludge or not working properly and also the PCB might be an issue?

when the hot water is running there is a wirring noise from the boiler not sure if this has anything to do with the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated as we've been trying to sort this out for a while now.... :)

Thanks

Phil

Seems you have changed everything except the plate HE which is likely to be the culprit!

Can you measure the boiler flow and return to the plate HE during DHW delivery?

Hi Agile,

thanks for the quick response. :)

Just found a Heat Exchanger on ebay for £70 brand new.
will check the flow tomorrow first before we buy it.

thanks again

Phil

They CAN be cleaned!

With dirt in your system it is likely to get blocked again!
