hi , i need some advice on my hot water .......or lack of it !!
ok , i have been in the house less than a year , and have only ever used the emmersion heater for my hot water but it has now broke - ive tryed fitting a new thermostat but no joy , so i tryed to fit a new heater but i cannot budge the old 1 !!! it is impossible to get out ........... so i decided to try to get my hot water via my boiler - baxi bermuda 552 .
when i slide the switch to turn hot water on , the pump starts and it only heats the rads - even tho the heating is set to off .
the pipes above the pump and below the pump get hot , as does the metal cased switch/ valve . but the pipes going into the emmersion heater remain cold . nothing has been changed or tampered with by me , so i cannot understand what could be wrong ?
any ideas would be gratefully recieved .
