Made the mistake of flushing the chain at 3.30 this morning. Noise is back (pressure high in the morning?) I’m sure I woke half the street up. Had to go out with a torch and turn the main stopcock off then back on again!

Not long after we landed, I spoke to the water board bods when they rang on my Ring doorbell to tell me they found the leak and had replaced the street box. Hopefully all will be well when I go home.

Yep, all good. No vibrating noises indoors, no running water sounds and the meter moving with the internal stop cock turned off and according to the meter, I’ve used no water while I’ve been away. Thank feck I didn’t start lifting floors and digging up drives to find a leak!
