Hi,Yesterday I had a new hot water cylinder replaced by a plumbing friend. He drained the system etc etc, all is fine apart from when we switched back on,all the radiators worked, apart from 1 downstairs and two upstairs. When I tried to bleed these, only cold water is coming out and no air.Am I being a tube and it is something simple(I hope so)We are on a Oil fired system, Hot water is fine,Tank is fine,Ballcock is not stuck. Can hear lots of rattling in pipes so hope it is a simple Air Lock.Your comments would be much appreciated :?

did he move any of the locksheilds on the rads?

if he has, he may of 'unbalanced' the system

Thanks Tricky T Trying that now as I type.

xr4x4 As to the locksheilds I may have adjusted some as we have a couple of Rads that have no plastic covers on them and I am sure that these have been adjusted in the past.If so is there anything I can do or is it a case of getting a Pro out

basically its a matter of reducing the flow to the rads ethier smallest/hottest/nearest the boiler, using the locksheilds.

this allows the hot water to be pumped to the furthest colder rads.

Thanks Guys, now ALL the radiators are Hot.Also Hot water is too hot so have had to turn down the temperature,I suppose that shows how inefficient the old one was. Thanks Again
