Hi, our hallway flooring is brushed and oiled oak flooring, it's looking dirty and sorry for itself, I'm after some help in cleaning and lifting the dirt out of it, then how to refinish it, any tips on method and products, thanks

Light sand, re-finish, regularly clean with a spray flooring soap and microfibre cloth.

Open grain wood floors will require regular maintenance to keep their appearance as dirt etc gets in the grain and can't be cleaned out. A Matt Lacquer finish would have limited this issue almost entirely but requires more care not to scratch the surface.
