Help identifying this connector

Hello,

I am trying to replace a cistern coupling washer, however I am confused by the pipe which feeds fresh water into the flush mechanism; specifically the plastic connector in the picture below: http://www.flickr.com/photos/66661215@N05/6070557128/

Anyone have any ideas what this is and whether I screw it off, pull it off?

replace the washer in the brass nut,usually a rubber o ring

It's a push fit tap connector, if you loosen the big white nut it should pull off.

Turn the water off first.
