Help Needed to Identify a Pipe

Hello, I've got to replace a section of damaged pipework but do not recognise the pipe size as one commonly available.

It is grey plastic and the outside diameter is 26.5mm. It is possibly a drain from an air conditioning unit; there is not much water running through it, just an odd drip every now and then. It has glued connectors and elbows.

What type and size of pipe is this anybody? Thanks.

When I Googled it, 3/4 inch came the answer, but I'm not sure it is 3/4, because it's a fairly new installation, no more than 10 years old.

When I look up overflow pipe, 21.5mm appears to be the standard, but I can't find anything that stated the outer diameter of this stuff.

I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.

A 21.5mm pipe has an outer diameter of 21.5mm ..............

Metric is outer, imperial is inner. The benefit of specifying the outer diameter ensures they all fit the connectors, the inner diameter depends on the thickness of the wall which might be dependent on pressure rating.

It may be pvc pressure pipe.

Or older grey overflow pipe, not sure what size.

It is the grey pipe at the top with the two elbows on it. Its walls are quite thick and there is no identification on it. As can be seen it has been bodged into a black 40mm pipe which was the waste pipe from a group of urinals that I am repairing. The grey pipe had been inserted too far and had got in the way of the t-piece, eventually blocking it.

What's the concern, what does that pipe connect to? It seems to be pipe that is used to carry water, i.e. irrigation pipework, from water barrels etc and whoever installed it had it lying about and has just used it. Can you not just remove that piece of pipe and replace it?

Chances are it'll be ABS pipe probably 3/4"

Could possibly be PVC 3/4"

Stardanny that looks like the stuff, I'll contact Hendersons with the exact measurements.

The pipe had caused a blockage inside a urinal waste pipe. To find it I had to saw up a lot of the pipework - which I've now replaced, and I want to re-attach this grey pipe to it, but obviously in a more sensible place. I don't know where the pipe comes from but I'm told it's an overflow from an aircon unit. I can't trace it back to source as it disappears into a very inaccessible false ceiling, so I simply want to make a joint to the sawn off stub, either using the same type of pipe or some 21.5mm overflow pipe via an adapter.

The grey pipe had a home-made double bend in it, made from 4 elbows, which I will re-instate when I find the correct pipe.

I've finished the job now having found what the pipe was - 3/4" pressure pipe. I bought fittings from Hendersons.
